The new Primus control unit from S+S Inspection uses 2-channel phase technology combined with digital processing and automatic self-calibration to increase performance reliability and consistency of metal detection, whilst simplifying operation and increasing productivity. The auto-learn capability minimises set-up time and is especially effective when inspecting food products and sorting electrically conductive materials, including metal oxides and carbon black, in the plastics manufacturing industry. The membrane keypad and 3-key adjustment of sensitivity, product changeover and auto-learn make the Primus very user-friendly.

Four pre-set frequently used operations and four user defined operations are stored in non-volatile memory and are selected from the front panel with password protection to eliminate unauthorised modification.

The new Primus control unit is now fitted as standard on a wide range of S+S metal detection systems.
