Many people love listening to Heavy Metal Music, especially Power Metal. Power Metal is a variation of the Metal Genre where it combines real vocal singing and incredible melodies.

Unfortunately many people just don't understand metal and can't adapt to its style. Some people say "it's just a bunch of noise." But that really depends on just how much you care to listen. When you hear amazing guitar-work it's not just a bunch of noise. It's years of practicing and learning theory and techniques which allow incredible versatility to be showcased.

What about the screaming "cookie monster" type vocals? That is your preference, and not every "Metal" band is like that. Especially Power Metal Bands. Some love that insane speed metal double bass drumming. Others don't. Many fantastic foreign metal bands include a keyboardist. I know some people that despise the use of any piano or keyboard in a band. Those people are entitled to their opinion however stupid they sound. It's all about your preference.

To be a true music lover you must enjoy many different genres of music. Classical, Rock, Pop, Old School Hip Hop, Heavy Metal, Power Metal, etc.

It makes your arguments more justifiable when you listen to many genres and are trying to comment on one or a specific band. Rather than just listening to classical and pointing your finger saying "Metal Is Bad!"

It is sometimes hard to understand another form of music but learning to appreciate it could dramatically change your outlook on things.
