China copper concentrate imports up 34.9% in February

China's copper concentrate imports rose 34.9% on year in February to 392,366 metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said Thursday.

Refined copper imports in February rose 177.9% to 148,679 tons.

In January-February, copper concentrate imports totaled 721,845 tons, up 23% on year, while refined copper imports totaled 280,530 tons, up 125.8% on year.

China is a large importer of copper concentrate in the world, sourcing most of its supplies from South America, Mongolia and Australia.
